THIS WEEKEND AT CENTRAL ABBY
|
We can't wait to see you this weekend! Join us as we continue in our sermon series of the Gospel of John. And don't forget to come early for dinner at 4:30pm!
This weekend we are excited to tell you about some Christmas initiatives that Northview is championing to spread the joy of Christmas in our community this year. As we draw nearer to the Christmas Season, let's seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to reveal ways which we can join in action, support, pray for and engage our neighbours and city!
See you on Saturday!

On Tuesday, November 28th at 7:00pm, we are hosting our Northview Annual General Meeting at Downes Road. On the agenda are some significant financial updates, exciting updates from our church plants and campuses, and a discussion regarding the new building project at Downes Road. We look forward to seeing members from all our campuses present. The AGM package will be available online at Northview.org on Tuesday, November 14th, or you can pick up a hard copy from our offices during the week.

Gospel Shaped Work: Health Care Workers
|
As deeply rooted followers of Jesus, we are called to live on mission and to carry His love into our workplaces. To this end, we will be hosting Gospel Shaped Work Discussion and Prayer Forums on Saturday evenings throughout the year, focusing on different industries. We will talk through a gospel framework for that workplace, hear the joys and challenges, join in prayer, and to ask how the church can best come alongside to equip them.
This month, on November 18th at 6:00pm, we're inviting those in the Health Care Industry to join us at Downes Road in West Court for discussion and prayer.

Christmas Community Initiatives
|
Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus with loved ones, but it can be challenging for some who struggle during this time. We partner with local agencies to help families in need enjoy good food and gifts. You can make a difference by sponsoring a family. Our goal is 50 hampers, but imagine reaching 100!
Last year, your generosity helped hundreds of kids through the Abbotsford Food Bank's Toy Drive. This year, on November 25th, you can bring a new, unwrapped, quality toy to any of our locations during weekend service hours. Let's surpass last year's impact.

Parent Discipleship Sessions
|
At Northview we believe that parents, grandparents and guardians are the primary disciplemakers of our children. This is such a vital role to play in the home that we want to help you as you guide the children in your life towards following Jesus. Over the next few months we are hosting a series of Parent Discipleship Nights and the next one is coming up.
Join us on November 23rd as pastors Joshua Scott and Thaleia Sawatzky walk us through two very important questions: How Do I Stop My Child from Sinning? How Do I Have a Healthy Kid This Year?

If you have kids or grandkids up to the age of 12, we invite you to a special Family Night that our Children’s Ministry Team is hosting! We’ll sing songs, play games and of course, have a few snacks.
This event is on Friday, December 1st from 6-7pm at Downes Road. Doors open at 5:30pm for pre-service fun and activities. We can't wait to see you there!

Whether you're a newcomer to church, a Northview regular, or a member of another congregation, know that you're warmly embraced here. We hope you will considering being a part of one of our Bible studies. We provide various weekly study options, and occasionally, we offer enriching conferences and retreats to supplement our regular Bible Studies. All of our studies are expositional (involving a sequential journey through a book or section of the Bible), and inductive, as we guide you through a series of questions to observe, interpret, and apply the biblical text.

Are you ready for an incredible adventure this spring? Join us on a trip to Nepal where we'll embark on community treks, spread the message of the gospel, uplift fellow believers, and engage in leadership development. For detailed information and the application, click the button below.
