This Weekend at Northview

Join us tomorrow at the Downes Road Campus for one of four Good Friday Tenebrae services.

Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ's suffering. As the lights in the service slowly fade, we will ponder the depth of Christ's suffering and death through scripture readings and music. Due to the dramatic nature of Tenebrae, we ask you to arrive early to take in the entirety of the service and plan to stay for the whole hour.

Service times are 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Children's programs will be available at each service.

At 4:15pm we pray for our campus & our neighbourhood. Join us in the Basement Lounge off of the main foyer.

Easter Weekend

Join us this weekend for Easter celebration on Saturday night as we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Easter services provide a wonderful opportunity to bring friends and family who may not yet know Jesus. Have anyone in mind? Perhaps it's time to send that text and invite them.

Dinner will be served at 4:30pm like usual, and Children's Ministry will be running! Higher Ground will not be running and we are lookiWe can't wait to see you there!

Alpha Class

Northview is hosting a six-week Alpha Course at the Downes Road Campus starting on Monday, April 22nd! Alpha is a class that is for the new Christians, the skeptics, and those who want to know more and understand what Jesus has done for us and what it means to follow him.

If you are new to the faith and have questions we encourage you to come to Alpha. And if you have friends, family, or colleagues who are skeptics of Christianity, invite them out. Alpha is a great opportunity to get connected and learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus!

TLC Classes

At Northview we have two primary strategies to help people GROW: our Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies and Community Groups. Each spring, we switch things up a bit and encourage people to GROW and GO through our Theology, Life & Culture courses.

These courses are an opportunity for our pastors to discuss life and culture topics such as dealing with relational and financial debt, fostering healthy families, resolving everyday conflict, and bringing the gospel to culture.

This semester of TLC begins April 3 and runs until mid-May at Downes Road. Co-ed courses are available Wednesday nights, and women's specific studies are available Monday nights, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday mornings.

Baptism Class

We have a Baptism Class coming up in just a few weeks! If you have accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, if you want to become a member at Northview but have not been baptized, or if you're just interested in learning more about what it means to be baptized, we'd love for you to join our class. It will be happening on Thursday, April 4th, at 7:00pm at the Downes Road Campus. Pre-Marriage Class

In this class, we hope to equip you with practical teaching and advice to set you up for a successful marriage. Over three sessions, we will discuss marriage, sex, finances, communication, parents/parents-in-law, and answer any questions you might have! Each session will include a discussion on the current cultural view compared with teaching on the Biblical view of each topic. This class is for seriously dating and or engaged couples.

The class will take place on May 7, 14 and 21 from 7pm at the Downes Road Campus. For more information and to register, click the button below!

Seasons Luncheon

If you are 55 years of age or older, you are invited to join the Seasons Committee for a luncheon on April 5 at Downes Road. The event will feature a performance by the Columbia Bible College Student Worship Team that you will not want to miss! Registration is open! Parent Discipleship Sessions

We have arranged a series of Parent Discipleship nights on Thursday evenings at the Downes Road Campus during the High School Youth campus nights in order to assist you in guiding the child(ren) in your life towards following Jesus.

What does it look like to raise holistically healthy teens? In this session, we will explore psychology and neuroscience relating to adolescent development, mental health, and the role of Christian parents in supporting our teen's mental and emotional well-being.
