This weekend at Northview, we will continue our series in the Gospel of John, looking at John 18:1-14. 

At Northview, we place a high value on families and children, and we are thrilled to announce that this weekend is Kids Serve Weekend! This means that children will have the opportunity to actively participate in the main body of Northview and serve in various roles such as the Welcome Team as well as the food service. We invite you to join us in encouraging the next generation as they serve this weekend!

We are also looking forward to learning about Inasmuch Community Society, a local organization that helps refugees by providing physical, emotional and community support as they seek to rebuild their lives in Canada. They'll be in the foyer before and after the service and we encourage you to say hello and learn more about what they do! PRE-SERVICE PRAYER

At 5:00pm we pray for our campus & our neighbourhood. Join us in the Basement Lounge off of the main foyer.

NORTHVIEW KIDS

Check-in for kids ages 6 months through grade 5 begins each weekend at 5:15pm. Want more info? Click here.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Higher Ground bible study happens every other weekend. Click here for more info. This month, Higher Ground meets February 3rd & 17th.

Did you know that Downes Road has two Saturday evening services at 4pm & 6pm? In between the services, we serve a delicious meal, which provides a great chance to meet new people around the table. The 4pm service offers both Higher Ground (Middle School Bible Study) and Children's Ministry.

Well, now you know!

As a church, we partner with local elementary schools to provide breakfast for students who might otherwise come to school hungry. The Breakfast Program is in need of a volunteer driver who can assist in picking up breakfast food from Downes Road and dropping it off to our six partner schools every Friday morning. Interested volunteers must have their own car and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. If this is you, we would love to hear from you!

Looking to become a member at Northview? Our Membership class is designed to guide you through the history of our church and what it means to walk in a committed community with one another, while deepening roots in Christ. To become a member of a church is to formally commit oneself to a local body of believers who have joined together for specific purposes. Our next Membership class will be held on February 29th at Downes Road. Register today!

This is your final opportunity to apply for a short-term trip to South Asia. Only a few spots are available, so don't miss out! Join us on this journey where we will spread the Good News, work with children in education programs, and participate in leadership development. The application deadline is February 5th, 2024. 

If you are not currently following a Bible reading plan or a daily devotional that gets you in the Word each day, we would like to invite to you to join us in reading through the Bible together. We have yearly and monthly plans available, a WhatsApp group and a monthly podcast to provide support and encouragement in our journey through scripture!

Introducing our Seniors Visitation Team, launching this month! We're reaching out to our congregation for input in identifying seniors who may be experiencing isolation due to being shut in, hospitalized, unwell, or feeling lonely—individuals who could benefit from a compassionate visit and prayer from our team members. Our goal is to ensure our aging members feel cherished, valued, and genuinely cared for.

If you're aware of any seniors who could benefit from a visit from our visitation team, kindly share their details by emailing us. Together, let's extend the warmth of our community and make a positive impact in the lives of those who may need it most.
