A Message from Pastoral Intern Connor

Hey Mission Campus!

This weekend marks the third week of Advent in which we will be looking at the HOPE and TRUTH of Jesus. Jesus came not just to bring peace and love, but to give us hope in a dreary and broken world. He came so that we may know the truth - that darkness and evil will not win!

So join us this weekend as we discover and see the hope and truth God gives us through Jesus!

"Did You Know?" with Darcy

Did you know that our Care Fund helps people in our community in a variety of ways? The majority of the funds (almost 80% of the funds we spend) go to rent and groceries. This year, we have spent $162,362.50 on groceries (around 10 times what was requested pre-COVID) and $240,798.13 for rent (around 3 times what was needed pre-COVID) for people in need. The need in our community is quite shocking and increasing every year.

Although our Care Fund giving has also increased, it's not at the same rate as the need. As a result, the Care Fund is running quite low. We would love to be able to say "Yes!" when people in need come to Northview for help, but without your support, we may not be able to do that much longer.

Please pray for people that you know who are struggling this season. Pray that they would turn to Jesus for comfort and encouragement. And if you desire to give to this fund so that the church can continue to express Jesus' love in these practical ways, simply mark your gift as "Care Fund". Every Care Fund dollar goes to the betterment of our wider community so they may see our good deeds and praise our Father in Heaven. Now you know!

Women's Retreat 2024

We are thrilled to announce and invite you to join us for our upcoming Women’s Retreat this April! It’s been five years since our last retreat and we’re excited to gather together for a weekend of study in God’s word, worship through songs and prayer, community building and discussion, and simply time away from the regular rhythms of busy life.

As Christians we are called to stand firm in our faith, be on guard, persevere with strength, and yet do everything in love, with grace and gentleness (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). HOW are we to do this in a culture that pushes against our Christian values and hopes? HOW do we engage with the people in our lives that hold different views or are following “their own truth”?

HOW do we live out a gritty faith that can withstand the attacks and questions from both outside the faith and within?

Join us this April 12-14, 2024 at Rockridge Canyon as we dig into this topic together! Registration is now open! Early bird rate is available until March 15, 2024. The retreat is open to ladies of all ages from Middle School and up.

Matthew Bible Study

This winter we will be getting back into the book of Matthew as we study Jesus' Final Week. From His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, to His increasing conflict with the religious leaders, to His eventual betrayal, arrest, trials, death, and resurrection - this is going to be a study you don't want to miss!

This is part 3 of our 3 part series in The Gospel of Matthew for those of you who joined us in 2022-2023, and we're excited to finally finish the story! For those of you who didn't complete part 1 & 2, don't worry, this is a stand-alone study and we'll fill in the context as we start things off. You'll have no trouble joining in!

Men's & Women's Bible Study is held on Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm and will begin on Monday, January 8, 2024. Cost is $10, register below.

Women's Precept Study

Precept Winter Study will be in the book of 1 Peter! Join us as we delve into the timeless wisdom of this epistle, discovering how to stand firm when tested. In the pages of 1 Peter, we unearth a profound guide that extends a message of living hope to men and women of all nations, tongues, and ages.

Let us embark on this enriching study together, exploring the depths of 1 Peter and discovering the enduring relevance it holds for our lives today.

Precept Study will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11am in the Worship Centre and will be starting on January 10, 2024. Cost is $25, register below!
